The Very Best Sandals to Wear at Walt Disney World

Guests at Walt Disney World can log over ten miles per day walking, so footwear is important. Once the Orlando heat and humidity hit, it’s nice to slip into the perfect sandal that won’t hurt your feet! Here is a list of the best sandals for walking during your next Disney vacation!

  • Sanuk Yoga Sling Sandals are lightweight, airy, and comfortable. The back strap will also keep your sandals on when riding Soarin’ Around the World, where your feet dangle under your seat! They come in a ton of different colors and can go with more casual outfits or with a cute dress for a more formal dinner!
  • Chaco Women’s ZVolv X2 Sandals are incredibly popular in the Disney and adventurer crowds- and for good reason! They’re sturdy and stylish with thinner (although more plentiful) straps that hug your foot better than some with larger straps. Again, the heel strap will save you from losing your shoes on an elevated ride or on a rainy day where some flip flops have us slipping and sliding!
  • Crocs LiteRide Stretch Sandals are an affordable option by the brand that’s known for going the distance at Disney World. The comfort of Crocs is well known, and we love that they’re expanding their sandal offerings. These have a heel strap that will help your sandal stay put while you’re disembarking. Few things would be more heartbreaking than your sandal taking its own trip through Pirates of the Caribbean!
  • KEEN Rose Sandals are a close-toed sandals that will save your toes from feet and stroller wheels as you snake through the sea of crowds during fireworks and parades! KEEN is a fantastic and reputable brand known for durability and comfort.
  • Clarks Saylie Loop Sport Sandals have a rubber sole, which is ideal for absorbing the thousands of footsteps you’re going to be taking on any given park day! The closed upper of the shoe still allows ventilation through the sides while providing some protection from an unexpected sunburn on the bridge of your foot!

Teva Tirra Sandals have a cult following among Teva enthusiasts. The Tirras have multiple points to adjust your sandal to your own liking, as well as cushioned surfaces that will keep your feet happy! A cushioned heel strap will keep you secure as you sprint to your next Fastpass- when they return, that is!

Merrell Hydro Sandals for kids have a closed, rubberized toecap that will offer some protection for little toes in crowds and extra stability on uneven surfaces. Also, no one will judge if they’re worn with socks! The best part? The Hydro Sandals are perfect for water rides, water parks, and trips to the pool, as they drain and dry out quickly! You’ll also be thankful for the versatility when you return home!

Teva Hurricane XLT 2 Sandals for Toddlers have a rubberized sole that will keep tiny tootsies off of the pavement. They have two velcro straps that adjust easily to tiny feet and are easy to replace once the stroller naptime is up! Again, versatility is the name of the game, and these sandals can weather Splash Mountain or a run down Main Street USA!
