Are The Pools at Walt Disney World Heated?

Few things can cool you down on a hot day in Central Florida like a dip in the pool!

But what happens when the outdoor temperature dips, and your little ones are still begging for time at the pool? Are the pools heated at Walt Disney World?

While it’s rarely freezing outside, the outdoor temperatures can plunge significantly throughout the day!

Don’t worry, Disney has you covered. The pools at the Disney World Resort Hotels are heated to a balmy 82 degrees Fahrenheit (or 27.8 degrees Celsius).

Do keep in mind that the pools are outdoors, so you’ll want to bring something to bundle up in for the trek back to your room!

We love to travel to Walt Disney World during Florida’s “winter” months, and we always see families splashing in the pool- even on cold days! Perhaps they’re families from up north, where 50-60 degrees feels like a hot summer day compared to the snow back home.

The pools are always less crowded in winter months, BUT be sure to check the Walt Disney World website for your resort leading up to your stay because the colder low-season is usually when planned maintenance takes place on pool areas.

Repairs and restoration can sometimes stretch on for weeks at a time. The resorts, however, do usually have multiple pool areas where you can take a dip, but be prepared for a bit of a walk if it happens to be on the other side of the resort!

Happy swimming!
